Friendship

Our relationship with God flourishes in mutual friendship with each other. 

Erasmus said of St. Thomas Moore that he was a man made for friendship. 

The saints are people who are evidently and beautifully God's friends. 

We are attached to them not because god is remote but for the very opposite reason,

because God is close. 

We are caught up in God's friendship and so, of course, are are friends of his friends.
