Cana Prayer

For  Married couples

God out Father,

We thank you for the gift of marriage and relationships and friendships.

Help me to remember and recall the delight of our first meeting 

and budding friendship and love.

There was only the two of us then. And that was all we needed.

Then we grew and changed and sometimes our love

 and commitment was challenged.

We thank you for the many blessings. 

Children, grandchildren, family 

and new neighbours and work to do.

We thank you that when our love  grew dull 

or half hearted that you reminded us

that we are not alone

Like the couple at Cana ,you come to us to save our blushes,

 bringing hope and joy out of sometimes difficult situations.
